Gerry trained at the world renowned College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading obtaining an honours degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and 5 Element Acupuncture combined.
For the past four years Gerry has been treating both male and female infertility and is currently a guest lecturer at Oxford University where she introduces students of the Masters Degree progamme in Embryology to Acupuncture and how it supports patients during the IVF process.
In 2010 Gerry took part in the national ARIX trial sponsored by Brighton and Sussex Medical School. ARIX is a randomised phase 111 crossover trial to examine the effectiveness of group Acupuncture in the treatment of Radiation Induced Xerostomia (dry mouth). Gerry is a voluntary acupuncturist at the Fountain Centre, a complimentary therapy centre at St. Lukes Cancer Unit at the Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford.
Gerry is a member of the British Acupuncture Council. Members are bound by the Council's Code of Ethics and Practice. Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance is provided by the Council for all its members.
